Adaptation of the play "The Madwoman of Chaillot" written by Jean Giraudoux
English adaptation by Christina Foster
PUBLIC READINGS
- May 5, 2007 at 1PM (French presidential elections) Central Park and 75th Street
- February 5, 2007 at 8PM - TUTS lounge, 196 Orchard Street, below Houston Stret
Live theater is merged with film footage, juxtaposing the protagonists on stage with the antagonists on film. The play stands somewhere between a fantasy and a farce. Characters are set in different eras to emphasis the timeless aspect of the story, which involves the quest of oil under the city of Paris, a wink at the current "hunger for control" of our governments.
